Royals place all-star closer Holland on DL

The Kansas City Royals put closer Greg Holland on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained right pectoral muscle. Holland has four saves this season and has not allowed a hit in four scoreless innings. He has been an All-Star the last two years. Holland had 46 saves last year in the regular season, then earned seven more in the postseason for the AL champions.

Shortly after new Commissioner Rob Manfred took over in January, Rose applied for reinstatement. Rose will appear on pregame and postgame shows on Fox along with studios programming on Fox Sports 1.
